    1. [INFRANKLI-L] Franklin Co. Plat Map?
    2. Kathy Johnston
    3. Hi again.... Are there plat maps available for Franklin Co.? Not necessarily the 1882 map with landowners listed, but a blank plat map that perhaps the Chamber of Commerce prints and distributes? I'd like to have one so I can start sorting out landowners from the land records of the mid-1800's. Thanks.... 2. Kathy Johnston
    3. Does there exist any church records or church histories for Franklin county? The marriage license of my gr-grandparents, Alexander W. Johnston and Elizabeth E. Hays, issued in 1853, lists the marriage ceremony performed by Thomas Williams, Minister of the Gospel in the M.E. Church. Thanks for any information.... 3. Carrie, All that will be on the marriage record are the dates, the name of the bride and groom and the name and office of the person that married them, but you should always look at the original anyway. The best way to take a look at this is to go to your nearest Family History Center (listed under Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the phone book) where you may order the microfilm copy of the original marriage register for, I believe, $3.25 for a month's rental. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or need help finding a Family History Center for your area, let me know. 3. It is really hard to say, but 1848 may be a little early for details. The late 1800's are when the details were filled in for a license. It just depends on the clerk at the time. Sorry I could not answer better... 2. Hello all, I'm wondering what experience anyone has had with ordering marriage certs from the County office in Brookville. In looking through the Early Marriage Index, I found a marriage for a Mary AYRES in 1848 in Franklin County--this may be my ggg grandmother. Does anyone know how detailed these marriage records are? Also, no cost was listed on the vital record page--does anyone know current costs? Thanks for any help! Carrie

    3. Jane...I was just at the cemetery in St Leon checking on a couple of things for a gentleman in California and I remember the name of Regensburger in that cemetery and I faintly remember seeing the name Alois. St Leon is just across the county line in Dearborn County, Indiana. Just thought I would pass that along... 1. Re: [INFRANKLI-L] REGENSBURGER
    2. Jane, You need to look for a death record, either in the county where he lived or through the Indiana Department of Health. If you located him in the census, I would try the county department of health of the county where he lived in 1910. Guess that would be Franklin County. I do Indiana research professionally. If you want me to search for this record for you, I work for $10.00 an hour plus expenses. My web page (http://www.angelfire.com/in/indianagenealogy/index.html) gives more detail on my terms. 2. Jane: John O'Brien and Cleopha Regensburger had a daughter named Eileen Ann O'Brien. I am the first cousin once removed of Eileen's husband David Paul Wetzel. Somewhere I have the address where the Regensburger lived in Evanston....I believe it was either Clarion Ave. or Idlewild Ave. I always been somewhat interested in the Regensburgers from Oldenburg because the paternal side of my family (RUDOLPH, VOLZ, HOELKER, VOGELSANG) hails from Oldenburg also. In fact, I have a grand aunt that in a nun in the Sisters of St. Francis Convent there. I have not found a direct connection between any of these names and Regensburger. Another interesting fact though.....my gr grandfather (STEIGERWALD) either sold or bought that house in the Evanston area. I'm continually amazed the smallness of the world. Roy

    2. Hi Roy, You are talking about my grandmother's sister. Do you have ties with this family? I have I have information on the rest of the children of Alois and Anna. The first 2 children were born in OH, and the other 7 in IN. This is my father's side of the family and there are a bunch of them. Thanks for responding! Jane in AZ

    1. Re: [INFRANKLI-L] REGENSBURGER
    2. One of Alois Regensburger's children is likely Cleopha Regensburger. I have her in my database married to John O'Brien.....born September 24, 1906, died November 1971. Her family came from Oldenburg, IN to lived in the Evanston neighborhood of Cincinnati. At some time, Cleopha's family moved back to Oldenburg. Roy Rudolph

We do not have them complete but there are a large number of cemetery listings. You may get lucky... 3. As of this writing we now have two sponsors on our webpage....Amazon.com and CD Now. We will earn commission off of anything that is purchased off of OUR website, so if you plan to do any music or books shopping please check these out first. The sponsor areas are towards the bottom of the index page. Again, all money raised from the sales will be going towards copying and getting more information on OUR webpage. We have received great comments from around the world (seriously) but we can get even more info put up on the website. I have already made a CD purchase myself in the last 15 minutes to get the ball rolling. If you have any questions, please e-mail me personally.... Randy Klemme Franklin County Genealogy Coordinator

    3. My Pro Wrestling debut was to occur on my wedding annivesary, September 18th. That was the night that I went to the emergency room after I got off of work at 6pm and was diagnosed with pneumonia. It has been rescheduled for later in October, once I get over this crud. But it WILL happen soon!!! By the way for all on this list, I will soon be adding some special advertising on our webpage to try to raise some money for copying etc so we can get even more information on the website. I will tell you more soon...but I can say if you plan on buying music or books on the internet soon, please wait a couple of days. My next goal is to work on a broader marriage database for Franklin County and also a death index. But we will need funds for copying since this material cannot be checked out of the library. So we are going this direction to see what we can do....
