On this list are two entries that are probably the John you are looking for. The spelling of the names are the best that could be made out from the origional records. The entries are: 1) Mary Catherine, born 12/8?/1848. baptised 1/13/1848(?) father John Bapt Jacques, mother Mary Frances Didat, sponsors Francis Vachet/Catherine Levant, priest Neyron 2) Genicuun Celestine, born 4/15/1850. baptised 5/28/1850 father John Bapt Jacques, mother Mary Francis Vadat, sponsors John Sousture/Paula Quincet, priest Neyron.
