They lived in New Albany in the 1860-1930 time period. Her name was Marian E. Hindmarch, b. Dec 1855 in Kentucky. She married first John William Flora on 9 Oct 1872; they divorced around Sep 1884. She never remarried, and was living with my grandmother in California when she died in 1933. I am trying to identify her siblings and parents. As best I can determine, she had a brother Henry (or Harry) who married Mary Catherine Busby 4 Nov 1885 in New Albany. Harry was b. 14 Dec 1859 in Kentucky, and died after 1933. Another possible brother is Matthew, b. abt 1848 in Kentucky, died in 1909. A newspaper article about his death notes his brother, Harry, sister Mary A. Flora (this is the Marian above), and sister, Mrs. W.T. Arnold. It is this sister, Mrs. W. T. Arnold, that is the mystery. I have found a Margaret E. Arnold in the census for 1900 and 1910. I have found a newspaper reference to a Margaret Crutchfield marrying William T. Arnold. But, so far, I haven't found anything that connects Margaret Crutchfield to the Hindmarch family. The 1910 census does indicate that this is a second marriage. So, I am guessing that there should be a record somewhere of a marriage of Margaret to an unknown Crutchfield. Regarding the parents of these siblings: it is possible that the father is John Hindmarch and the mother is Margaret Hindmarch, both born in England. It is also possible that this Margaret married John R. Webb at some point, since Matthew's obituary notes he is the step-son of John Webb, the Constable. I have no other information about them. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?
