Mathew G. Morris was b. 2SEP1798 in VA; his wife, Sarah, b. 10MAY1800 in IN. They both died between 1850 & 1860. The 1850 Census show them living in Neal Twp, Floyd Co.,IN. The 1860 Census shows that some of their children are living in the 6th Ward, Floyd Co., IN. They were the parents of 10 children born between 1820-1843: Amanda, Joseph, William, Benjamin, Charles, John, Harriet, Betsy, Mathew G. Jr. (deaf-mute) and Sarah.
