My gr-gr-grandfather was Benjamin F DORMAN and he lived in Lee Co IA. The Lee Co Gazetteer listed him and a Joshua DORMAN as having land in Van Buren Twsp in 1868. Does any of this correspond with your family? Benjamin's wife was Elizabeth Passons of IN. Also my gr-grandfather & mother (Frank D & Lou DORMAN) had a daughter named Rosalie (Rose) & a son named Oavid (Oave). Do you happen to be from that line?
