Surnames: HAMILTON, FERGUSON Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3h.2ADE/2099 Message Board Post: Looking for information on Reuben HAMILTON who married Sarah FERGUSON in 1833 in Floyd Co. In 1830, Reuben was in Bullitt Co. KY - and both may have family ties in Bullitt Co. Would like to find out when Reuben and Sarah died. Looking for cemeteries with Hamilton and Ferguson burials. I don't find them in 1840. By 1850, their two children, Mary born 1834 and Richard born 1838 are back in Bullitt Co. KY living with Sarah's FERGUSON family. Family tradition says that Mary and Richard were left orphaned at a young age. When Richard married in 1866 in Bullitt Co. KY, the record says he is son of Reuban, but does not say if Reuben was present as a witness. I just wonder if Sarah died when her children were young - and perhaps Reuben was still living in 1866. I am unable to find him anywhere, however. Would also like to find parents of Reuben HAMILTON. Any HAMILTON researchers of Floyd Co out there? Thanks so much! Tami
