Her husband, John Bartlett died February 6, 1899. The information I have shows Rusell Smallwood born in 1810. But as close as all the information seems to be, it must be the same one. I don't understand Desdemona not showing up, but, in the Bartlett book she is listed as possibly being adopted. If she was Native American, maybe the paperwork was never filed, and she wasn't a legal descendant. I had hoped to find a marriage license, but am having no luck. I have information on her burial place, but can't find confirmation. The Bartlett book has a lot of information on their children. By the way, we're in the same time zone. I'm near Oklahoma City!
