I had never heard of Desmonda until your letter. I had John Benton as the child of Russell Clifton Smallwood and Sarah Jane Clark. I have no dates on John B. but was "told" he had 3 boys, Obe, Roy, and Gordon. Obe m. Hulda King in Marshall Co Alabama. I would be glad to share what I have on the parents, esp. Russell C. I do have a cen from 1850 Jackson Co Mo showing just Russell and Sally (suppose that is what Sarah Jane was called). The 1870 Crawford Co Ind cen was too light to copy so I don't know who was with Russell since there is no soundex card to look at. If you have the names of all Russell's kids, I would really enjoy having them. Do you have anything on S. Clark? Russell's bro, Samuel (b abt 1775 mar to Sarah Akers) is my tie. Kay
