Hi Listers, I'm new to this list because I just moved back a generation on my tree and find myself searching for names in Floyd County. If someone has access to an index for or the actual census records of 1880 and can help me, I'd be very appreciative. Here is what I have: John H. LYLE/LYLES ( b. abt. 1848 in TN or VA) married Nancy CLEVELAND (b. abt 1852 in IN). This info is taken from the funeral record of John's son (also named John H.). John H. (#2) was born in New Albany, IN on 6/7/1871. On the Floyd Co. 1870 census, I find: John H. (#1), age 22, wife Nancy, age 18, and son William, age 7 mo. I am interested in learning if the same family with additional children (including 9-yr-old John) appears on the 1880 census for Floyd County.
