Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3h.2ADE/1847 Message Board Post: Seeking some info about Adam Carpenter b. abt 1817 Tennessee and wife Lydia b. abt 1817 Indiana. They lived in New Albany as early as 1850 and appear in the New Albany census that year with children David 16, Adaline 10, James 5 and Charley 2. Adam was at first a ship cartpenter and later a Steam Boat Captain. Would like to know the parents for both and death dates for both. Lydia died between the 1870 and 1880 census as Adam appears as a widower living with dau Ada Riggles in New Albany. Adam remarried in 1885 to Elizabeth Cornelison Norman (widow of Steam Boat Captain James Norman) and died prior to 1891 when she married again. Any info please to retduck@cox.net.
