I reviewed some of your other posts and I doubt if the Hugh Hagan you are researching is the same Hugh Hagan that I'm tracking. My Hugh Hagan migrated to Madison Co., KY about 1790 from SC. He was probably born in or close to Chester Co., PA around 1760, the son of John Hagan/Haggins and Elizabeth Campbell -- Elizabeth the dau of Hugh and Margaret Campbell. Hugh's parents joined him in Madison Co., KY about 1796 (also migrating there from SC). Later, they moved on to Barren/Warren Co., KY where John died in 1806. The only California link I show is with a William Hagans who married an Elizabeth Smith. I have William tenatively listed as a son of old John Hagan/Haggins and Elizabeth Campbell -- but that is very speculative at best.
