I am surprised that you have not received a reply, especially if you had inquired in the last couple of years. The person that was acting sexton for the last two years was very good at answering these requests and worked hard on them. Unfortunately, he is no longer there. I doubt the person who is there now will even bother to consider a request. spc ----- Original Message ----- From: "Antoinette Waughtel" <waughtel@oz.net> To: <infloyd@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 10, 2006 10:18 PM Subject: Re: [INFLOYD] BURIAL NOS. Thanks, I have written them several times over the course of 30 years. Never once a reply, nor acknowledgement. I don't use a telephone due to hearing problems. I do have a distant cousin in New Jersey who is planning a trip to New Albany and I will be sending her this information. Thanks so very much. Antoinette (Tacoma, Washington)
Sue, there was a Mr. Winstandley (if I remember his name correctly) who did get me a copy of the sketch which includes the numbering and names (east to west/north to south numbering etc) anyhow it is all typed up on my website in the order of his sketch, and it did match with a much, much older one that I have, and so much easier to read, more clearer. I knew persons were put into the vault during the cold months and removed to their burial areas later. I will now have to go back through the Southern Indiana quarterlies and see if I might have missed John Sinex somewhere in my "lookings".
