Surnames: Carter Classification: Lookup Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3h.2ADE/1423 Message Board Post: My ggggrandfather, Geoarge Washington Carter, came to New Albany in 1819/1820, probably from Virginia or Ohio. Is there anyone that can lookup either in census, court or any local records to find any mention of this man, his family, his siblings? I understand he had a sizable amount of land. Maybe there are court records that verify this fact. Any help would be appreciated and I will pay any reproduction costs.
