Jan, thank you so much for all this information. This list is so helpful. Joseph Embs was born in 1848 and was 72 when he died in 1925. I was so disappointed that his death certificate did not list his parents' names. My ggrandmother's name was Mary T. and she was born 12 Dec 1851. His death certicate indicates the "informant" was Edward Embs. This person did not know the names of Joseph's parents. I wonder if it was a son or maybe a nephew. A brother would surely have known their names. I was told that the other Embs buried in Fairview Cemetery were Henry and two Elizabeths. I have the marriage certificate for a Henry Embs and Elizabeth Schneiderhahn. I wonder if this couple is buried there and if so, could Henry be a brother to Joseph. Perhaps someone with the cemetery book could give me whatever dates there are for these people? Thanks so much for everyone's help.
