I have been researching my gggrandparents, Justin and Magdelena(Dosch)Schmitt. Justin appears in New Albany in 1859 in marriage records to his 1st wife, Magdeline Stein. Justin and his brother Peter came from Alsace, France. I have been to St. Mary's Church for records. Justin and both wives are buried at St. Mary's Cemetery. Justin is listed as "shoemake". His children are Elizabeth, MaryRose, Eugene, Otto and Flora. We think one of Peter's sons became a priest. I am looking for any information on Justin, his wives and his brother Peter.
