Sipes, 60, of New Albany, died Thursday at her residence. She was the former Arlene K. Bjork and a native of Long Beach, CA. She was a teacher at Mount Tabor Elementary School, New Albany, IN, a member of R.L.D.S. Church, Double H Square Dance Club, and Phi Beta PSI Sorority. Survivors include her husband, William L. Sipes Sr.; two sons, William L. Sipes Jr. and Jason Sipes; two daughters, Ellen Madinger and Ginger Makk; one brother, Carl Bjork; and five grandchildren. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Louisville, KY. Burial: Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes. Memorial gifts: Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
