Obits Jun 10 1914 BUREN, DEWEESE, FINK, HANCOCK, KANNAPEL, KITTERMAN, MOSSLER, O'BANNON, SCHMELTZ, WINDELL, Public Press 10 JUN 1914 p 8 c 3 (New Albany Newspaper) Recent Harrison County Deaths: Marion Deweese died at his home near new Salisbury, of stomach trouble. he is survied by his wife and two children, County school superintendennt A. O. Deweese and Miss Vergie Deweese. he was 55 years of age. He was trustee of the township in which he lived when he died and as a member of the Odd Fellows. Mrs. Barbara Schmeltz, widow of Mark Schmeltz, died at her home in Franklin township from a stroke of paralysis. She was seventy-two years old and leaves surviving her four sons, Andrew, John, Martin and Mark. She was a good christian woman. Mrs. Mary Kannapel, widow of Michael Kannapel died at her home at New Middletown, as a result of a stroke of paralysis. She was twice married and is survived by eleven children. She was 75 years of age and she was a member of the Catholic church. Mrs. Margaret Mossler, died at her home four miles west of Corydon of a complication of diseases including dropsy, tumor, and cancer of the liver. She was in her seventy-third year and leaves surviving a husband and three sons and two daughters, Fred and Edward Mossler, Mrs. Sallie Hartman, Mrs. Elbert Albin, and Miss Anna Mossler and Louis Mossler, of Oklahoma. She also leaves three brothers and three sisters. The deceased was a member of the German M. E. Church. Mrs. Mary O'Bannon, wife of Virgil O'Bannon died at her home in Louisville of Tuberculosis, aged 19 years. Mrs. Rachel Windell, wife of Geo. windell died at her home in Heth township of paralysis, aged 74 years. She is survived by her husband, three sons and four daugters, Ralph Windell, Mrs. Daisy Jacobs, Mrs. Nora hottle, Mrs. Charlotte Smith, Mrs. Nan Fulkerson, Wilson and Clint Windell. Two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Windell and Mrs. Margaret Haas also survive her. Julia Esther, the little daughter of Luther Calvin Buren, died at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Chas Connor, of Louisvile. She was one year seven months old.The mother of the child who was formerly Miss Sadie LaDuke died a short time ago. William Blaine Hancock, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Hancock, died in Louisville, aged 29 years. He leaves a father, one brother, Major Hancock and Mrs. Dovie Poe, of Mt. Lebanon, and Mrs. Cleo Spencer, of Marengo. John Henry Fink, aged thirty-six years, died at his home in Posey Township, after a six month illness of tuberculosis. he is the son of Mr. ande Mrs. John Fink. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife and one child. Charles O. Kitterman, died at his home at Irvington, Ky. He had purchased the Malinda Deatrick farm, in Webster township.
