Brouse and Mary Catherine Downey. He married Margaret Caroline Thorpe on December 30, 1867. Children: John, Mary, Louise, Richard, Julia and Helen. He died on October 26, 1904 in Indianapolis, IN. I am especially interested in any information about his Civil War service for possible publication. He won the Congressional Medal of Honor for his action at Missionary Ridge on November 25, 1863. I also have information on him that I would be happy to share.
