Doughten September 19, 1829, Floyd Co, IN. She married first John Armstrong, MD, on 31 Jan 1820 in West Alexander, Washington Co, PA. They had William C. Armstrong b. 1821 and Alexis LeRoy Armstrong, b. 1823, and then I find her again when she marries John S. Doughten. She is not on 1850 census, but her children are as listed in my initial posting. Her maiden name was given as Jane Leroy of New York when she married John Armstrong. Family lore says she was French and married three times. Supposedly she had some connection to Leroy Genessee Co, NY. Am seeking to know what happened to her after the birth of her last child, Adele J. Leroy, b. 1842. Are there descendants of this family still in New Albany, Floyd Co, IN?
