Currently looking for information on the records that were being kept and reported on the POW's at Camp Douglas. I have been studying on the Camp Douglas POW's. If you would please answer me a few questions???? Do you have the compiled servicemans record for E.F. McManaman? I need to know how many entries were made while he was at Camp Douglas????? What are the nature of references while he was there???? Does Your ancestors records mention the end of the war, paroled, shipped to MD?? Are all these notes on the servicemans reports or have you gathered these things from other sources??? If other resources what??? My own Wm Grizzle and Brother John were there from Sept 1863-May 1964. After May there are no other notes about their being on the roll call as present, or notes of being sick, or if they died there, were exchanged, or escapees. Without paying for several other POW's records I do not know how to find out how many notes or what kind of record keeping may have been continued through to the end of the war and release or death. I could very much appreciate any help you could lend my way. I really need to figure out what became of my Wm. Grizzle and why there are no other entries after May, especially if there are entries for your ancestor. Thank-You in advance for anything you may be able to lend to helping me.
