This family is in Floyd Co., IN in all censuses starting with the 1850 census. They were in Clark Co., IN in 1840. I am descended from their son, James William Baxter, b. 12/16/1835 and d. 7/20/1907. The other children I have are: Henry H. b. 8/1839 md. Sarah b. 1/1843 (dau. Florence H.) Harriet b. abt 1841 Abram b. abt 1845 Amanda C. b. abt. 1847 Charles T. b. 8/1850 md. Mary b. 7/1852 Lewis E. b. abt. 1854 Robert A. b. abt 1857 md. Sarah b. abt 1874 KY possibly one other child (the eldest- b. between 1830-1835) enumerated only in the 1840 census. The above named Charles T's children: Cora, Charlie, Lewis, Jennie M., Birtie, Marnie L., Elwood, John The above named Robert A's children seem to be: Ruby, Theodore, Charlotte, and Grace (md. a Peyton). I am interested in any information about this family going in any direction- Abraham's ancestry and descendants, and Katherine's ancestry. Abraham had a second wife named Elizabeth b. abt. 1847, and they married between 1870 and 1880- also interested in any information about her. It's probable that many if not all of this family are buried in Fairview Cemetery, but I have no access to the records yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
