Correction to Sue's post (and I know she didn't mean St. Mary's). St. Mary's in New Albany (downtown) is still in operation. It was Holy Trinity Catholic Church that burned about 25 years ago. I think St. Mary's has records for both St. Mary's Cemetery on Charlestown Rd. and Holy Trinity Cemetery on Green Valley Rd.. I think those records are also at the Family History Center of the local Mormon Church on Slate Run Rd. Floyd County folks please correct me if I am wrong. Walker K. Part of the Navilleton Catholic Church is also listed. There was a St. Mary's Church in town, but it burned several years ago.
