I know he along with his second wife removed to Iowa with daughters, Mary Elizabeth Graham Van Ausdall my Great Grandmother and her sister Hannah Graham Utley. There were other children by the second marriage but I don't know much about them. Susan Bogan the first wife of William is buried at Kirklan, Indiana. I have never found a death date or burial location for William Graham and his second wife. I would love to have that information. Sorry I couldn't have been of more help to you. Where in Lee Co., IA were the Brownlee's located? Linda

I am seeking to find the parents of the man you referred to as a half brother. His name is Michael Yost and he is indeed a half brother to Peter Endris' wife, Marie Michels Endris. My mother has many fond memories of visiting 'Aunt Mary Endris' and feeding her chickens.

    3. In regard to the John Peter Schmitt - do you know if he had a sibling? I have a Justin Pierre Schmitt in New Albany. I know he had a brother Peter, that lived there also. Justin Schmitt 1830-1917, buried in St. Mary's cemetery in New Albany. Justin and his brother Peter came over from France together. I don't have any information on their parents.     3. NALS 3 Dec 1879 p4 c1: The Courier-Journal say that Joe. Zintz, aged fourteen years, died very suddenly of invagination [sic] of the bowels a few days ago. The attending physicians wanted to hold a post mortem examination, but the parents objected. The boy, it seems, had been eating watermelons, the seed collecting in his bowels and caausing a stoppage hterein, which medical annid failed to reemedy. The Zintz family live in Bog Hollow, near Ninth Street.

Viz: After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, the balance of my property, both real and personal I give and bequeath and devise to my beloved sister Jane Hancock. My lands and all my the appurtenances thereto belonging, lying in Franklin Township, Floyd County Indiana, being Fifty acres more or less. Also all my monies, household, kitchen, furniture, or in other words, all both real and personal. Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint Isaiah Hancock Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and seal this the 21st day of December, 1864.
