Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3h.2ADE/406.458.1.1 Message Board Post: I don't know. When I started researching the Stoys, I thought this would be easy with such a weird name. Still can't figure out why there were so many Stoys running around the States back in the 1700's. Still trying to hook up Daniel Stoy of Somerset County, PA to my ancestor William Henry (Wilhelm Heinrich) Stoy from Herborn, Germany who settled in near Philadelphia. Since Daniel came from England, that generously expands just how many Stoys there were around Europe. I have some information about a Peter Uriah Stoy who MAY be descended from one of William Henry's children, William. Still haven't made the connection yet though.

    1. [INFLOYD] 1860 FLOYD COUNTY CENSUS
    2. Antoinette Waughtel Sorensen
    3. I have a partial copy with a notation that it is from the 1860 Floyd County census and no numbers, no markings of any nature, but the household of SINEX, Thomas 67 SINEX, Flora 57 (could be 59 which would be correct) Zerelda SINEX 21 Albert SINEX 18 Joseph SINEX 21 My question is ~ Who is this Joseph SINEX as Thomas & Flora had NO sons named Joseph to the best of my knowledge at least. Thomas brother John SINEX & wife Mary (STETZER) had a son Joseph born 1837. If anyone has a copy of this census and it isn't all that hard to check out, I would certainly appreciate it. Thank you. It must be over a hundred year old.dress has white collar, a nit head bonnet, sitting in chair with her hands crossed look like holding a letter. Its a good clear picture, she looks like being a large woman not fat but large frame has real bright eyes. I can remember this picture when I was a little boy. It was kept in the "Ohio Album" The record I have is that she married Henry Coleman and removed to state of Indiana. Settling near Albany, later moving to Pike County where she died in 1878 at age of about 85 surviving her second husband. also follows with McGlothlin info. if you are interested....sincerely ruth pride...
