Yes, as Sue Carpenter informed us, The So. Indiana Gen. Soc. has Fairview Books. The Books I was referring to are from SIGS, and I am desperately seeking to place them with a new owner as I bought all of them and had no hits in my family. I would be more than happy to look through the books (but please remember the years noted in my first memo) to see if your family name is not there. I also have early Marriage records (also from SIGS), Will Books, and Wolfe Cemetery (which is in Georgetown) records. Please email me privately if any of these interests you, and I will be happy to check to see if it is even reasonable for you to consider buying them. I spent a great deal of money buying these books as a pig in a poke, so to speak, and I merely want to pass them on, at a reasonable cost, to someone who might actually be able to use them. Most are in pristine condition. I have already saved a number of people on this email list money by informing them that, like myself, they had no relatives listed in the books that I was wanting to sell.
All volumes are available from the Southern Indiana Genealogical Society, PO Box 665, New Albany, IN 47151-0665 There are seven volumes available going through 1929. Preceding those volumes, there was one called "Persons Buried in Ground Owned by the City of New Albany". Then it was called the Northern Burying Ground. For information, contact me personally. VA which has been changed and now is Madison Co.VA. They helped found Hebron Church built in early 1700's. They were given land on the west side of what is now Rt 29 going from Culpeper to Madison. On a VA Map it is in the vicinity of County Rd 603 and County Rd. 638. The church is still there and still looks the same. There are a lot of Blankenbakers, Blankenbeckers buried in the church yard. I found a map in a volume of the Germanna Records book that shows just where they settled. Culpeper Library Archives has a lot on them. WFT also has a lot of info on them. happy hunting - Vada

I have a copy of an article of the death of Mrs. Sinex, wife of Dr. William Sinex, stating she died at Spencer, Owens county, but the remains were brougth to New Albany for interment. This same article states she was a daughter of Rev. John Kearns. I know that the Rev's daughter Caroline married Elisha West Sinex and I know Caroline had sisters Mary & Margaret but did not know either of them had married a Sinex also. The newspaper is the New Albany Ledger of October 16, 1882 and I am wondering if anyone can tell me if a certificate of death for this time frame would be available. Or if the funeral home would have a record of her "given" name. Any help anyone can give me on this will be gratefully appreciated. Antoinette (Tacoma, Washington) [email protected]
