I have the following; b. abt 1796 in Virginia; lived in KY until abt 1830 when he came to Greenville; m. (2nd wife) Julia Ann MONAGHAN in Floyd Co., July 1835; had a son William Jr., b. in KY abt. 1826 in KY and who married a "Mary Ann" abt 1850 and settled in Lafayette Twnshp. William, Sr left Greenville and moved to Lafayette Twnshp shortly after 1850; Wm. Sr and Julia Ann appear in 1860 and 1870 censuses in Lafayette Twshp, Floyd Knobs Post Office; neither appear in 1880 census, apparently deceased during 1870s. I am trying to determine where in VA William Sr. was born and the names of his parents and first wife. Also, where he was buried in Floyd Co. (Lafayette Twnshp) and any data that may be available on his tombstone or in an obit.
