They later moved to New Albany, In where both died. Info is that Thomas is buried at Holy Trinity Cemetery. I also show a record in Delaware Co. Of m. Edward Hanley marrying Mary Buckley Jan 1, 1882 C-2, 138. Thomas and Mary Ann had a son Thomas who is related to my family through young Thomas's wife Catherine Kelley. Also a Hanley descendant is my husband's best friend and has a great interest in the line. I have a typed version of 'Grandmother Hanley's' bible it states that Grandmother Hanley's mother was Prendergast. Any information on Hanley's death, obit, etc. or Holy Trinity Church would be helpful. Will share my info for family research. Carolyn Kelly crkelly105@aol.com

Surnames: Tomlinson, Jennings, Clark, Bliss, Potter Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3h.2ADE/1825 Message Board Post: I am seeking siblings and parents for my gggrandfather Samuel B. Tomlinson. He was born in Portsmouth, OH in 1822. On the 1880 census he lists both of his parents as being born in PA. By 1841 Samuel lived in Floyd Co., IN. "Marriage Affidavits and Certificates, Harrison Co., IN, 1809 -1865 and addenda, by Walter S. Beanblossom, published by the author, 1973, ---, IN . p. 60," 10/23/1841... Allen Z. Bliss ..... a. by Samuel Tominson ................. Susan Jennings .. a. by " " a. " stands for " age proven " I don't know if there was a relationship or only friendship between Samuel Tomlinson and Allen Z. Bliss and Susan Jennings in 1841. In August 1846 Samuel B. married Emilene/Emily Clark who was the daughter of Jeremiah Clark and Ary Jennings in Floyd Co., IN. After Emily's death, he married her sister Cassandra Clark in 1849 in Harrison Co., IN. A Joseph Potter gave an affidavit for this second marriage. They lived in Floyd Co., IN in 1850; Obion Co., TN in 1860, and migrated to IL where they appear on the military census by 1861 in Brown Co., IL. He then moved to Schuyler Co. (adjoins Brown) IL where he died in 1896. On 1840 census in Posey, Harrison Co., IN is this family: Joseph Tomlinson 1 Male 15-20 (Samuel?) 1 male 20-30 (Joseph....are they brothers?) 1 Female under 5 1 Female 15-20 (wife & child of Joseph?) I'm also seeking further information about the family of Jeremiah Clark and of his wife Ary Jennings. I believe that Ary had a sister named Mary Ann "Polly" who also lived in Floyd Co., IN. Mary Ann returned to Floyd Co. with her son Robert after 1860 when the Tomlinsons and some of the Clarks migrated to IL. Does anyone have any information about any of these Tomlinsons? Clarks? Jennings? Does anyone know anything about the Bliss and Potter families of Floyd Co., IN? This has been a big brick wall for many of us for a long time. Any help would be appreciated. LouAnn in NC

Morris, who resides on East 13th St, met with a fatal accident yesterday evening. He was a carpenter and engaged at work upon the roof of the residence lately occupied by the family of the late Dr. Palmer, on West Main Street and the alley between Broadway and Third, when he made a mistep and fell to the ground, a distance of about twenty feet. He struck on his side upon a pile of brick, fracturing two ribs and driving them into the internal vessels, and also injuring his spine. He survived a few hours in unconciousness, when death ended his sufferings. He leaves a family. Deceased had been a resident of New Albany for about four years, coming here from Kentucky. Coroner Lemon held an inquest today, returning a verdict of accidental death.

I am a descendant of David Sillings of Floyd Co., Indiana. I have always wondered if Nancy Anna Sillings was the sister to Gasper Sillings born abt. 1749-place unknown. Gasper Sillings was the father of David born abt 1787. I also feel that it is possible that the original name of Sillings was Zilling but no 100% proof.
