Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3h.2ADE/1831 Message Board Post: I found Susan Barr, age 33 in the 1860 census in New Albany Township, Floyd Co where she is listed as the head of the household with six children. Listed was Robert 15, John 22, Mary 11, Daniel 9, Dave 7 and Anna 1 years. Her husband is missing and his name was Daniel Barr. I have not been able to locate this family in later census records. Would someone please look at a death list record and see if there is a record of a death? Or better yet, know anyone that could be connected. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks! Can anyone tell me if the actual documents that are stated in the Grantor/Grantee and/or Grantee/Grantor lists are on film at the library or if they need be ordered through the courthouse/city hall? I have 4 documents for the 1838 period that I would like to order but need to know where. Also if there may be someone there who could do this for a fee? Feel free to contact me off list. I was able to copy several while in Salt Lake City end October/early November but they were so mixed up (each document was not in sequence by page in some instances). Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Antoinette (Tacoma, Washington) waughtel@oz.net

I'm hoping someone has access to early cemetery records for New Albany. I'm not certain whether it would be the town of, or township. I'm looking for Mary P. Turnbull who died 29 Mar 1820, in New Albany, and any other Turnbull that might be with her. Thanks for checking, even if no results. Susanne Danubio

I write a genealogy column for the New Albany Tribune that uses free queries. If you have family that has ties with the following southern Indiana counties and would like to send ONE query to be published - SEND DIRECTLY TO ME (not the list) at bzuveri@bellsouth.net Your name and postal address must be included as not all my readers have e-mail. This is a good way to make contact with those researching your family lines who are not online. I will publish your e-mail address also. Please include your e-mail in the body of your query message. Please read the rules below: Queries are free and must have a date to establish a time period and a connection to Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison, Jefferson, Orange, Perry, Scott or Washington Counties in Indiana. Send ONE query per e-mail to Vicky Zuverink at bzuveri@bellsouth.net Other queries in separate e-mail may be sent but will be used as space permits.
