Surnames: Pierson Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3h.2ADE/1899 Message Board Post: I'm researching the location of my husband's gr-grandfather, Thomas S. Pierson. He enlisted in the 44th Indiana Infantry in Noble County, Indiana in Nov 1861 and was mustered out on a disability in Mar 1862. I believe he did not return to Noble County, but went directly to Floyd County. I have a record of a divorce judgment "Divorce No. 128" in the January term of 1867 of the Court of Common Pleas in New Albany granting a divorce to Salvitha C. Pierson from Thomas S. Pierson. The document grants care, custody and guadianship of Belle Pierson, infant daughter, to Salvitha. I'd like to find record of their marriage, birth information for Belle and the original complaint where Salvitha filed for divorce. Can someone help? Thanks

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3h.2ADE/1891 Message Board Post: We are trying to compile a list of all persons buried in West Haven Cemetery to make a listing available for research. It is very discouraging to go through the burials and see that many of the people who were buried in that cemetery have no record of burial there, as the records were removed from the office. The only records left were a few that were handwritten on 3x5 cards and they have been transcribed. Any names and dates of burials in West Haven would be appreciated. This is valuable information to the community and should be made available for research.
