Well, it's a new year & I'm still looking for the family of George R. Wright, my gggrandfather. George was b. in Philadelphia in 1817. He m. Mary Jones in New Albany in 1846. Mary was the daughter of Thompson Jones & Margaret Gilleland. George & Mary had 9 children. Some of the names that married into the Wright family: Stoy, Graves & Sackett. George worked in shipbuilding & later had a grocery in New Albany. He later bought a farm in Harrison Co. & died there in 1904. I can't connectthis family with any of the other Wrights in Floyd Co.
