TEETER Sept. 15, 1915-Dec. 11, 2003 BREMEN -- Gertrude H. Teeter, 88, died at 8:40 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 11, 2003) at Bremen Health Care. She was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Elkhart County, to Elmer and Ella (Bowman) Bowen. She married Harvey Teeter on Dec. 2, 1933, in Nappanee. He preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1997. Mrs. Teeter is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Joyce) Lemler; two grandchildren, DeWayne (Sharon) Lemler, and Mrs. Mark (Cynthia) Lingofelter, all of Nappanee; four great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild; three great-great-grandchildren, all of Bremen; and a brother, Charles Bowen. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Letha Bowser and Annabelle Lemler; a brother, Clyde Bowen; and a great-grandson, Deric Lemler. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Nappanee, where the 10:30 a.m. Monday service will be officiated by Rev. Sam. Bennett of the First Church of God. She will be buried in Bremen Cemetery. Mrs. Teeter was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bremen.
