She was born Feb. 21, 1901 in Middlebury, Ind., a daughter of Ezra and Matilda (RODERICK) LOVEJOY. Before moving to Greencroft in October of 1987 she resided on a farm north of Middlebury since 1937. On Aug. 13, 1927 she married John A. PHILLIPS. He died Jan. 5, 1989. A homemaker and former grade school teacher in Michigan, she was a member of the St. John of the Cross Episcopal Church and had attended Michigan State University. Surviving is one brother, Glenn LOVEJOY of Constantine, Mich. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth JACOBS; three brothers, Milton, Walter and Guy LOVEJOY; and a son, James PHILLIPS who died in 1941. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday at the St. John of the Cross Episcopal Church of Bristol, where services are at 2 p.m. Monday. Father Tim Ljunggren will officiate.
