Spilman, 68, of 1501 Morton, died Sunday in the Westview Convalescent Home. She was born Feb. 7, 1896, in Stevens Point, Wis., and was married to Hiatt B. Spilman March 23, 1928, in Elkhart. Mrs. Spilman was a school teacher in the Elkhart area and last taught at Mary Feeser School (Osolo Township). She retired from the school in 1959. Mrs. Spilman belonged to the National Retired Teachers Association. Surviving are the husband, a son, Donn, Osceola; three grandchildren, and a brother, Howard Sellers, Milwaukee. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, with the Rev. W. W. Kennell, pastor of the First EUB Church, where Mrs. Spilman was a member, in charge.
