Winters, 66 of 1020 S. Seventh St., died at 6 a.m. today at home after a two-year illness. He was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Goshen, and married Georgia "Pat" Hankison on June 22, 1941. She survives with two daughters, Mrs. Greg (Kay) Yoder, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Miss JoAnne, a student at Ball State University; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mariellen Phend, Goshen; and a brother, Howard D., Attica, Ind. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Paul F. Koepke, pastor of the Plymouth United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery. Mr. Winters was employed with the Federal Aviation Administration for 36 years and was last employed as a salesman for Super Steer Meat Co. He was a charter member of the Maplecrest Country Club, the Goshen Masonic Lodge and the York Rite, and was a member of the Plymouth UCC. He lived in ! the area all his life.
