Hankison, 74, 106 W. Purl Street, died at 7:50 a.m. today at Goshen General Hospital, where he was admitted Sept. 27. A native of Zanesville, Ohio, Mr. Hankison was born Jan. 23, 1897. He had been a resident of Goshen the past five years, moving from Clyde, Ohio, where he worked in the title and escrow business, and previously had worked in Cleveland and Dayton, Ohio. He served with the U.S. Marines in the European Theater during World War I. He was a member of both the Goshen and Clyde, Ohio, Masonic lodges. Surviving is his widow, the former Helen M. Savage, whom he married March 21, 1920; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Helen) Meggitt and Mrs. Harold O. (Georgia) Winters, both of Goshen; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Betty Torrance, Cleveland, Ohio. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the! Rev. Paul Koepke officiating. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.
