MANGES - May 25, 1904 - March 27, 1994, Elkhart, services for Levi "Lee" S. MANGES, 89, of 431 E. Beardsley Ave., who died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in Valley View Nursing Center, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hartzler-Guthermuth Funeral Home. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Mr. MANGES was employed at Long's Lock Shop until 1980. He retired in 1969 from Miller Steel, where he worked for 18 years. He was born May 25, 1904, in Magador, Ohio. On June 27, 1925, in Elkhart , he married Helen M. LA RUE. She survives with a son, Richard L. of Flagstaff, Ariz.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, A. Jack of Gales Ferry, Conn. A son, Charles a. preceded him in death.
