Occupation: Manager, department store. Speier, Margaret, age 35, (I cannot make out where she was born but there is no emigration date so probaby US) both parents born Germany. Speier, Frances, daughter, age 5, born Indiana. Speier, Richard, age one year, five months, born Indiana. Speier, Barbara, age one year, five months, born Indiana. (apparently they had twins) Chilton, Harriet, lodger, age 64, emigrated from England 1880. Occupation: nurse, private home. Message Board Post: My Great Grandfather, Nathan Speier was from Anderson Indiana, he imegrated there some time in the early 1900's from somewhere in Germany. I just started researching my family tree as well and this is all I have so far, I know he had a couple of brothers with him and the family became fairly well off there. If you have any more information that would be great and hopefully this will help you as well. I know the spelling is Speier, from pictures I have of my Grandmother (Frances Speier)--also her Mother was Margret, and her maiden name was Alperhn/ Alpern? from some where in Mi. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
