Is your George Akens from Rochester, IN? If so, I know there is a relation, but I am not sure of what it is. In 1915 George and his wife visited my Lewis Akens at his home in Etna Green. Lewis' father is David L. Eakins (m. Eve Smith). I wonder if George was his brother? I would be very interested in hearing what you know about local Akens.
