Right now I have a bio on (not with the right url, till I get it right) It is at: http://www.rootsweb.com/~indekalb/dcibp_hk-brandeberry.txt When I view it, the page is set so I have to use the slider. When making it, I set the margins to Left=1 1/2" and right 1 1/2". Then went with Save As: DOS Text with line breaks. So, When viewing and with the print out, I get a wide page. How do I get it so it looks like the others I have seen at IBP pages? 2. Terry Nolcox
    3. Hello, everyone. Sorry to be lagging behind! My name is Terry (Houghtaling) Nolcox and I'm the county coordinator for Gibson County. I have lived in Gibson County since the age of two (born in Lawrence Co, IL) and have been involved with genealogical research since I was 14 - 32 long years ago! Some of my ancestors were in southern Indiana as early as 1784, and most by 1820 (Gibson, Knox, Perry, Spencer, Warrick, Orange, and Washington Counties). I'm a full time mom of an 11-year-old boy; my husband is employed with Cinergy and farms in his "spare" time. I specialize in (what else?) Gibson County area research and also in African-American research for the tri-state area. I don't have my page up yet, but have it almost ready - hopefully this evening. You can find a few biographies on my personal home page, as well as more info on my family and research for Gibson County. 2. Laura Gabbard
    3. Ok, my turn. I am Laura Curtis Gabbard and I am the bio. page coordinator for Clay and Greene Counties. My grandparents and father are from the Clay/Greene county area (specifically Jasonville) and Dad was born in Linton. If anyone is from that area do you know the Curtises? :-) Anyway, except for my husband being from Clark County and my mother-in-law being from Orange County, all of my other lines are from Kentucky. But I am currently focusing on my ggrandfather Fred Gray from Clay County and his family. I've only been doing genealogy off and on since I got married 7 years ago. Actually for a long time it was more off than on since I had two boys. But now I've gotten back into the genealogy stuff again (albeit as a virtual newbie compared to most genealogists). I also work full time at the IU library (where I have found lots of nice old resources including shelves and shelves of Indiana county histories). I also enjoy quilting and online discussion groups. Suffice it to say I keep busy. The Greene County page doesn't have any bios on it yet, but I'm hoping to put some up soon. They Clay County page has a few bios on it. I'll post my official list this weekend. If you want to know anything else about me, I have a web page at: http://php.indiana.edu/~lscurtis/index.htm which includes a link to my genealogy page where I list my surnames. This project sounds like a wonderful idea and a lot of fun to boot! Laura Curtis Gabbard Clay Co. Page http://php.indiana.edu/~lscurtis/clay.html Greene Co. 3. Hello Everyone! Indiana Bios is going strong! In only a week we have jumped from about 200 biographies to over 600!! Yes, Jerry, we CAN and WILL catch up to Kentucky!! ;-) Crawford Co. is up and running...Three previously existing bios posted...more to come... I want to let everyone know that beginning in October we will have a County page of the month. You can go to the state site and find out more about this, the rules, etc.... Ok, Scott...a little about me, huh?! Well, I have lived in the Kentuckiana area all my life. Genealogy and History have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father would take me to the libraries and Court Houses as early as five years old and I would soak up everything he was saying and doing. Of course at five I didn't understand everything, but if it weren't for those early experiences I wouldn't have the love and desire I now have for genealogy. I'm a stay-at-home mom of three monsters! ;-) One of which just had a birthday today, that's why this e-mail is so late getting out, I have been spending the entire evening putting together a Barbie Folding Pretty DollHouse, and every accessory imaginable! Please everyone....remember to keep this fun and upbeat! If we can't laugh a little while doing this it won't be fun for very long..... So everyone smile.....it's a great day in Indiana!!! (uhhh....I mean night) Thanks everybody!! Dee ---------- Indiana Biographies http://www.aye.net/~dee1234/indybios/inbio2.html

    3. Scott: Great idea! Bios on people doing Bios! Planning to put them all together for a special Coordinator page? (Good Idea!) ummm, now what can I say about me.... My family has lived in DeKalb and Steuben Counties since the early 1840's. There are many memories that have been handed down through the generations that I have been fortunate to enjoy. I plan to help my ancestors and relatives live through the work that I do. Hopefully someday my young son will appreciate all the hours I spend researching our past loved ones. Currently I am a full time Mom, working full time with genealogical evidence. Other projects include: County Coordinator for DeKalb and Steuben Counties for the Indiana Biographies Project. So far I have put the pages on-line. I am having little fights with Word 7 getting the text right (...so much more to learn!), so with a bit more trial and error, I'll have Bios on, too. County Coordinator for the Steuben County INGenWeb. The site has changed drastically. There are several place to visit there (surnames, Civil War soldiers, biographies, bibles, queries, etc...). County Coordinator for DeKalb County INGenWeb. This site is slowly trying to catch up with Steuben. So far it is going great and have had several super comments on the changes. In the real world I am a genealogist/researcher. I am also revamping the information on one of our largest cemeteries in Hamilton. (That's the towns name.) Just thinking of all I do makes me tired. I never even mentioned all I do for local societies..oh, well, another time. -- Kathleen Hamman rsrchetal@locl.net DeKalb County INGenWeb Coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~indekalb/index.html Steuben County INGenWeb Coordinator http://members.tripod.com/~Hammanoneill/steuben.html

    3. Hi! Deb here with Fulton and LaGrange counties. All pages are up and running. La Grange has a fair number of bios, Fulton will come later. I actually live in St. Joe Co (have all my life) but since I was doing the others for GenWeb I had the bios already, just have to get them on-line. I work at Notre Dame but am a Purdue grad, I have the only car on campus with Boilermaker stickers! Looking forward to getting some volunteers to help with this inputting, I'm tired already!

My name is Jerry Morris Mounts and I have been working in genealogy since I was 15, about forty years worth. Was born in Scott County but raised in Washington County. I have the rare distinction of being the 2nd County Co-Ordinator for the INGenWeb and the first county up in the INdiana Biographies page. I have a INGenWeb state page up for Villages Cities and Towns in Indiana I have a state page up for Civil War Soldiers in Indiana I have a state page up for Mexican War Soldiers in Indiana I have a state page up for all the Indiana Counties, County Coordinators, surnames, queries, obituaries, genealogies, and bible records. I take my genealogy seriously, have had over 12,000 hits on my county page since June 96, about 1100 a month now, spend about 4 hours a night on genealogy. Thanks to Dee and Scott for producing such a great page for us to be a part of, they have done a super job. At present I have 242 Biographies posted, because of the wonderful, wonderful help of Diana Flynn. I have added something unique to the page. I have tried to add a link to my Washington County Descendancy Charts from the Biographies and will add more as time allows. I think we can out due the Kentucky biographies page, I can't remember for sure but I think they are around 6900 biographies to date.
