Jeanne..... I didn't 'see' what Lora sent to you but there are a bunch of BEPPES, BEPPIS and BIPPUS in Vanderburgh county in 1850and 1860 as well as BIPPUS in Huntington county in 1860. There is also a Frederick BEBUS in Marion county in 1860...... Janet

Thanks, Janet. The Bippus I'm looking for was named Frederick and the Marion County location is a real possibility. I don't think my Bippuses were from the Vanderburgh families but I am still checking. The (mis)spelling "Bebus" looks like an excellent possibility and is a good lead. Marion County is right where I'd expect to find my guy although you never know. I appreciate your taking time to give me this clue.
