    1. [INDIANA] About the IN website & list
    2. Jeanne Surber
    3. Phyllis and Melinda -- congratulations! A much deserved honor. I've had personal correspondence with both of you, and Phyllis has somehow found time to even snail mail some much-needed material to me in the past. The website itself is (as we all know) the best out there. And it seems like there is something every day on the mailing list that is useful, interesting, thought provoking, or all three. As an example: Just this morning, Phyllis' response to someone else's question about minor children has gone a long way toward solving a seemingly hopeless puzzle in my own family. The information that "Mothers were not granted guardianship of their own children unless a gentleman would and could post security." was new information for me in that I thought this was only true in the previous century. I had no idea it was true in Indiana in the 1800's. That explains a great deal about one family group I've been working on lately. Thanks again to all concerned with the website! Sincerely, Jeanne Surber
