There was a Lula M HOLMAN born to Alonzo HOLMAN and Cora BERDEN, January 9, 1909 in Fountain Co., Indiana, Fountain County Indiana Index to Birth Records, A-K, Book 1, Vol 1, 1887-1920. That was the only Alonzo HOLMAN child born per the above Fountain Co. records Holman Lula M Alonzo Cora Berden F W Jan 9 1909 CH-2 6 Of course, this still doesn't answer all your questions..... However... have you located Alonzo's father??? Alonzo should still be living at home in the 1900 census.... Both Ancestry.com and FTM have the 1900 census "Images" on line.... FTM's is "Indexed" and Ancestry's is not..... A "One Month" subscription might be well worth it........ The last known place where I have found him was Fountain Co. IN. when he was younger. But no clue if that was the county he was born in. There is a BIG PROBLEM on this birth date. His headstone says 1886, but census and wedding reports seem to lean to 1888 which was what my mother thought before she died. I really need to find the county he was born in so I can send for his birth certificate. Can anyone please help me?? Hello Janet, may I ask for a look-up in the marriage index? My ggGrandparents were Scott S. ETHINGTON and Elizabeth Jane CARTER but she was first married to a James L. JOHNSON. Would that marriage have taken place in Fountain Co.?
