I am researching the SWEASEY/SWAYZE Family in Dearborn County. there was a DAVID SWAYZE listed in the 1840 index, but I could not find them in the 1850. ( The film was pretty bad). In a deed dated 5 May 1852,DAVID SWEASY and ELIZABETH his wife of Dearborn County sell to THORETEA (?) HARTZ the West 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Section 5-7-2W. for $700.00. In another deed dated 12 August 1852, RICHARD C. SWEASY and COMFORT his wife; JOSEPH SWEASY and ELIZABETH his wife; JEMIMA C.SWEASY;JOHN M.M. SWEASY and ELIZABETH M.SWEASY and DAVID J. SWEASY all of Dearborn County sell to JAMES BOSTIC of same place for $200.00 the NE 1/2 of the nW 1/4 0f Sec. 21-5-3 West- 20 acres. I figured they probably lived in Dearborn County in 1850 so the should be in the 1850 census, but I don't have access to the 1850 index. They do not appear in the 1860 census. Can anyone help? Thanks,Clyde
