    3. Sharon: Have you thought about looking in Daviess Co., IN? There has been a Gill's Mortuary here since the early- mid 1900's. The Gill family, I believe bought this business from the Bonham family, and is still in business at the present time, except it was purchased by a firm out of Indianapolis, or somewhere? But there have been Gill's around the Daviess county area for several years. In fact, back when I was in H.S. there were two women, with the surname Gill, one was my favorite teacher. Their husbands were brothers, who operated the mortuary, and I believe there was something in their background, altho could be mistaken, that there was a Joseph Gill in their family, probably their husband's father? Which is unique to your research, as you said your Joseph Gill was a physician, and most of the earlier mortuary's were ran by physicians. I know it's a longshot, but worth taking the chance on researching this Daviess Co., family. I do also know, that my Mrs. Gill, did not have any heirs. I'm not sure about the brother, and their could have been other brothers involved in the undertaking business here also. Melanie Wayman Daviess Co.
