    3. My Hoffman maternal great-grandparents had one child, Egar D., who was supposedly born in St. Petersburg, Indiana, in 1859. I cannot find St. Petersburg via Mapquest, Google, or Yahoo. Does anyone know if and where this community might have existed and how I might find birth records for someone born there? I would like to know if any of the other siblings - specifically Bertram, Alonzo, (who both died in their youth) and Charles F. - were born there also. The Hoffmans came from Ohio. And the family was in Michigan by 1868. My grandmother Alice Belle, the baby of the family was born in Lansing. I am assuming that the family may have just been passing through on their way to Michigan if only this one child was born there. If St. Petersburg was in the north eastern corner, and only Edgar was born there, this would help to confirm my assumption. Edgar D. Hoffman b. Dec 1859 St. Petersburg, Indiana d.
