    1. Re: [INDIANA] What to do with your genealogy files?
    2. I have decided, if I do nothing else, to just print my FTM file for each family. It may run into a lot of printing but it is a way not to lose all the years of work I have done. Then I will donate it to the local gen library, and probably make copies of different families for other libraries where they lived. My research files are so messy with notes, etc., and miss-information penciled in over the years, that no one could make head not tail of them. I was "always" going to type most of it up real nice, but you know how that is. Too busy adding to it! Carleen

    3. That is a good idea, but please use acid free paper. In fact, you may want to go a bit further and invest in 3 ring paper (again, acid free) and 3 ring binders to put them in. This will insure that the work last longer and that the pages don't fade away with time. When possible, scan in family photos, birth, marriage, and death announcements, any news paper clippings and anything else to make your "book" more interesting. The finished product will be welcome by most family members and libraries as well.
