Teddy, That would be great. My Great Grandfather was married to a Julia (Griffin) Crothers in 1876. They had a son Deverter who was born 1878. Sometime between his birth and the 1900 census he died. On the 1900 census Julia is listed as a widow. I have been to Parke County but never during the week when I can do research. Am planning on being there the middle of next month for a couple of days. I believe that he is buried in the Miller cemetery in Lodi but cannot confirm that. All the other family is buried there including Julia. I did find a grave stone there that had Elizabeth wife of Joseph Gill she died in 1865. But cannot confirm if this was a wife before Julia or not. This stone was located in the same area as Julia's stone so am assuming there is a possibility. Hope to find that out and maybe there might be a clue as to his parents. Been told that he was born in 1804 in Ohio, but searches thus far have turned up nothing in Ohio, so I am checking Ohio, KY and Ohio, Indiana, and I think there is also an Ohio, IL. Somewhere along the line it was noted that he may have been born in VA, but cannot prove that either. Was hoping to find a death certificate but no luck so far due to the fact that I do not know when he did die. So any help I can get along the way is most appreciated. Thank You!
