Could someone with access to the 1860 Washington Co., IN census do a lookup for me? I went to the library today and copied the page, but the film is so badly damaged that I can't read the last name of the family. on p 75, lines 1 thru 6. The first names of the family are: Jacob, ae 62 ELizabeth, 54 William, 19 Elizabeth, 18 Sarah J., 15 John SMITH, 9, orphan. I am researching my Smith family, John was one of them, and I wonder if he is living with relatives. Pat

SMITH age 13 Ind living with a Henry H.WISEMAN 27 Ind, Polly WISEMAN 24 Ind and dau Vanda A. WISEMAN, 3 Ind. Family 472. I didn't know if this Sarah might be a sister to your John or not. The entries do not say they are orphans, but it surely sounds like they might be and be related.
