I have scanned in my great grandmother/grandfather's marriage return and put it on my FTM home page. could anyone who is familiar with old cities/counties in Indiana, and maybe familiar with handwriting in the early 1900's please take a look and tell me if you can figure out where my Mary E. Carr was born. It is on Line 16. If the link appears on two lines in your email, you may have to copy/paste each line into your browser seperately. I have Windows XP and can normally just click on it and it works, but I think it didn't work that way with Windows 98. Here is the link directly to the scan: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/h/o/l/Renee-M-Holmes/PHOTO/0012photo.html Thanks, Renee __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Hello all, Thanks for all the help I have received so far with my great grandmother's birth city. I have found her father in 1891 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co., along with his stepfather and possibly his grandmother. Mary was born Feb 17, 1890 so hopefully this is a clue. The line I need help with on the marriage return is line 16, which is the birthplace of the bride. First, there is the word Indiana, then a word I cannot read. I am hoping that someone who knows what cities may be near Lafayette could decipher what it says. They were at 317 South, W. Lafayette. James A. Carr, clerk, P.H. Carr, groceries and Lillis M. Moore, seamstress (a bonus, as I didn't have her name), in case anyone else is researching these names. Here is the link again: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/h/o/l/Renee-M-Holmes/PHOTO/0012photo.html Again, thanks. I really appreciate all the effort so far!
