Today I spent about 6 hours in the genealogy museum at city hall. I wonder if everyone on the list is aware of what incredible resources they have? Their website, unless you select "resources," does not offer up all that they have for the genealogist. I went in just to look around and ended up staying 6 hours....and still didn't get thru all the books, indexes, obits, etc. they have. I was amazed. I was on my way to the La Porte Library but had no need to go after spending time at the Genealogy Museum. They prefer visitors but will answer simple email requests as they are staffed by just a few. It's an amazing place with two floors of exhibits and beautiful antiques and displays. I hope all that are interested in La Porte history (limited other counties/states as well) stop in to see what they have. Bonnie
